As IBD patients, we know that there are many things we have to navigate. From trying to figure out what foods we can add, to getting enough nutrition, to figuring out if supplementation is needed. It's a lot!  We want our listeners and patients to feel empowered with knowledge and feel confident in their food choices with IBD.

Takeaways-

- Dietary tracking is helpful in some situations but it is not our first strategy when working with IBD patients.
- Foundational nutrition is prioritized over strict dietary tracking.
- Not consuming enough diverse foods can increase malnutrition risk.
- Lifestyle factors significantly influence IBD symptoms.
- Strict diets can lead to nutrient deficiencies and fear of food.
- Confidence in food choices improves with proper support and education.
- Supplement use should be strategic and well-informed.
- Natural does not always mean safe; supplements can have side effects.

Creating the resources we provide comes at a significant cost to us. We dream of a day where we can provide even more free education, guidance and support to those with IBD like us.

We need your support to do this. You can help us by liking episodes, sharing them on your social media, subscribing to YouTube and telling others about us (your doctors, friends, family, forums/reddit etc).

Can you do this for us? In return, I promise to continually improve what we offer to you on all of these platforms!
